- גַּבְשוּשִׁיתf. (גבש) heap of stones, pile, mound. Sabb.73b. Ib. 152a (ref. to Koh. 12:5 מגבוה ייראו) שאפי׳ ג׳ קטנהוכ׳ even a small mound appears to him (the aged man) like the highest mountains. Y.Erub.II, 20a, opp. חָרִיץ.Pl. גַּבְשוּשִׁיֹּות. Y.Sot.VII, 21c שתי ג׳וכ׳ (not … שית) they put up two mounds and named them Mount Gerizim
